Below are three brief quotes from published sources this past week. Two of them are true stories and one is not. Without the aide of a quick Internet search, can you spot which is which?

Quote 1:

Pressed about tactics, [General] Allen conceded he wasn’t certain exactly where his forces were currently deployed, but suggested all inquiries be directed toward one of his lieutenants

Quote 2:

“I do not want Germany to be the only country in the world in which Jews cannot practice their rites,” Merkel is reported to have said. “Otherwise we would make ourselves a laughing stock among nations.”

Quote 3:

Texas GOP Rejects ‘Criticial Thinking’ Skills.

We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.
